Powered by a robust 6,5HP Briggs & Stratton engine, with a 6:1 reduction gearbox, the Scarab TRENCHER has the power to handle most small trenching jobs with ease. Eight tungsten tipped cutters are bolted to a steel cutting disc, that is attached to the engine through a slip-clutch to prevent damage should the cutters contact hard rock. For protection, the engine is fitted with a oil level safety switch to prevent damage if the oil level is low.
